Bias?

Even though it does not always seem like it, women are still biased against in today's society. There has never been a woman president and men are still in the majority of high positions. Guys and girls, what do you think about this? Do you think men deserve positions over women or should women have an equal opportunity in all circumstances?

While I agree that there is gender bias in today's society, I don't think "deserving" a position has to do with gender. While it does play a role, there is a growing emphasis on credentials. Are they qualified?
I think a lot of the problem is that women aren't willing to take a stand. Before the 1919 amendment to allow women to vote, there were rallies and protests by women. They made their voices heard.
I think if more women stood and did something about it, like Condoleezza Rice and Sandra Day O'Connor, there would be more change.
Women should prove themselves. I know that the women in BTA are some pretty spectacular people. But that doesn't mean much if they don't do anything with their lives.
